At the heart of our new flagship models Edition 15 and Edition 15 Veritas is a newly developed driver featuring our Gold Titanium Compound (GTC) technology that combines a gold membrane with a titanium dome. Together, these materials result in truly outstanding sound properties. The main component of the driver is the gold-plated Mylar membrane. Gold as a material has the exact audio properties that you would associate with this precious metal: A smooth, warm and brilliant sound. The gold membrane of the GTC driver is responsible for the reproduction of the mid to low frequencies, ensuring accurate resolution for that frequency range. A titanium dome sits in the middle: This metal is more rigid than gold, offering the perfect properties for high frequencies. Known mostly as a material used in medicine, it brings surgical precision to the sound. A sound stage that makes every instrument shine: Featured for the first time in our Edition eleven headphones, this 40 mm driver with a TruTex bio-cellulose fiber compound membrane delivers a distinctive sound with airy lightness and creates a very special listening experience. The cellulose fibers of the transducer contain amorphous flax fibers, making the driver very stiff and lightweight. Combined with an extremely strong neodymium-iron-boron magnet and a custom suspension, reminiscent of a loudspeaker chassis, this results in extremely precise audio reproduction. You will be stunned by the high-resolution sound with balanced, yet powerful bass. The frequency range from 6 to 42,000 Hertz far exceeds the limits of human hearing – this guarantees that every fine nuance of the music is played back with maximum accuracy and authenticity. S-Logic®: Unparalleled spatial reproduction

The human ear is a true miracle. When we hear something, the whole ear is part of that experience – including the outer ear. It is crucial for the perception of distances and directions. This poses a challenge for the listening experience with headphones, since the sound is often delivered directly into the ear. For this reason, we developed our patented S-Logic® technology that involves the whole ear, including the outer ear, when listening via ULTRASONE headphones. The transducers are not aimed directly at the ear canal; instead, they are positioned slightly to the front and below the centre of the headphones. Because of this, sound hits the outer ear first, creating a spatial perception for all stereo sources by involving the anatomy of the ear – no additional electronics needed. This results in impressively natural sound, directions and distances are reproduced authentically without distortion. With S-Logic®, you don’t hear the music in your head – it unfolds on a large soundstage in front of you, just like your own private live concert!

It is based on a funnel-shaped sound transducer arrangement, oriented downwards to the front. This allows for more distance between transducer and ear, optimising the impressive effect of S-Logic® and creating an even more spatial perception for sounds coming from the front.

ULTRASONE developed the Ultra Low Emission technology, ULE for short, specifically to counter these low-frequency fields. A MU metal shielding acts as a buffer board between the air near the ear and the headphone capsule. This shielding reduces the magnetic radiation by up to 98% compared to other headphones.
